On Saturday, May 6th starting at 7PM, Que Pasa Restaurant & Winebar will be hosting a special food and wine pairing dinner featuring a delectable menu of 5 courses. Each course will be paired with a carefully selected wine from the renowned Stags' Leap Winery in California.
The evening will begin with an amuse-bouche of crispy old cheese, old cheese creme, bacon, and Heinz ketchup paired with Gloria Ferrer Blanc de Noirs Brut. The first appetizer will feature Dutch asparagus, smoked eel, herring caviar, crispy potato, and chives paired with 2020 Stags' Leap Napa Valley Viognier.
The second appetizer will be a smoked beef tartare with pickled egg yolk, mustard seeds, and Amsterdams zuur paired with 2019 Stags' Leap Napa Valley Merlot. For the main course, guests will enjoy slow-cooked pork tenderloin with shimeji mushroom, celeriac, parsley mousseline, bell pepper, and red wine sauce, paired with 2019 Stags' Leap Napa Valley Petite Shirah.
Finally, for dessert, there will be an almond cake with Dutch “hangop mousse”, fresh strawberry and raspberry gel, paired with a DOWS ruby port.
